He was set apart as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Wednesday, July 22nd by President Johson. It was nice to have President Childs and President Wiggington with us as well. Grandparents joined us too.
Malachi immediately began the at-home MTC experience. He was supposed to attend the MTC in Accra Ghana, but due to the Covid pandemic, his mission in Africa has been delayed. In the meantime, he'll be in class for about 7 hours a day via Zoom and taking additional classes and teaching lessons for the next 2 1/2 weeks.
On August 11th, Malachi will fly out to serve in Layton, Utah. We're not sure when Africa will open up again, but we're hoping it does at some point over these next 2 years.
Yesterday we had our missionaries in our area come help with a service project in our house - moving a pool table out of our house and into the garage to allow Malachi a space to have his daily classes. It was fun for Malachi to don his missionary name tag and to be part of the gang.
How grateful and excited we are to be sending out our third missionary! Malachi will join his older brother in the field overlapping their missions by 4 1/2 months.

Elder Morgan, we are so proud of you for adapting to all these changes in such a positive way! You are already an excellent missionary!
